Kiama Municipal Council

Kiama Municipal Council was established in 1859. Our mission is to work to create a healthy, vibrant lifestyle, beautiful environment and harmonious, connected and resilient community.

Kiama Municipal Council invests $12 million on infrastructure, assets and services and $136,000 for cultural grants, community donations and regional contributions.
It is concerned with a wide range of matters of local interest that affect the daily lives of its residents - much more than 'roads, rates and rubbish'.

The local economy built on tourism, dairying, blue metal quarrying and health services. Our population is ageing and seasonal population. We were the first mainland Council connected to NBN
